Framatome and TechnicAtome acquires Daher Valves
Framatome and TechnicAtome have acquired Daher Valves from the Daher Group . The company has been renamed Vanatome , reverting to its historic name and introducing a new logo . Vanatome designs , manufactures and qualifies valves for nuclear and defence applications . Its product range includes valves for primary and secondary systems of nuclear power plants and nuclear propulsion systems of French Navy ships . This acquisition allows Framatome and TechnicAtome to consolidate their activities in their respective sectors . The move is expected to strengthen their positions in the nuclear and defence industries .
Lesjöfors acquires Clifford Springs
IMI relocates to a new facility in Poole
Lesjöfors has acquired Clifford Springs , a UK-based spring manufacturer specialising in energiser springs for the seal and valve industry . Clifford Springs , located in Redditch , employs 17 people and primarily serves small to medium-sized businesses . Ola Tengroth , CEO of Lesjöfors , stated that the acquisition expands their product offering in energiser springs and strengthens
their global presence , particularly in the niche segments of seals and valves . Lesjöfors aims to accelerate growth through its existing sales channels . John Clifford , CEO of Clifford Springs , will continue in his operational role post-acquisition . He expressed enthusiasm about joining the Lesjöfors Group and the opportunities for future development .
IMI is relocating from Creekmoor to a purpose-built 105,000 sq . ft facility at the Technology Road industrial park in Poole , Dorset . The new site will manufacture high-integrity solenoid valves , pressure regulators and other industrial components for IMI Herion , IMI Maxseal and IMI Thompson Valves brands , while also providing additional local manufacturing capacity for other IMI businesses .
The facility will include a state-ofthe-art customer experience centre and is expected to create new jobs upon completion . IMI aims to complete the final handover in early 2026 , subject to planning permission and construction timetables . Sustainability features planned for the site include solar heating , photovoltaic panels and electric car parking spaces . This move aligns with IMI ’ s efforts to decarbonise its global manufacturing sites .
Thomson adds controllability to its electric actuators
Thomson Industries , Inc . has enhanced its Electrak LL line of long-life electric linear actuators with advanced controllability options . These additions complement the existing 600 km maintenance-free life and 100 % duty cycle performance of the Electrak LL models . New features include absolute position feedback , CAN bus integration , reduced current flow , and higher speeds . The Electrak LL ’ s long-life design incorporates a brushless motor , high-load ball screw assembly , wear-resistant brake solution , and IP69K ( static ) and IP66 ( dynamic ) compliant sealing . This enables up to 100 % duty cycles , 600 km of travel life , and up to one million cycles . These enhancements aim to provide machine designers with improved control , integration , higher voltage , and higher speed options , while maintaining the actuators ’ industry-leading durability .
