Laurentide Controls is becoming the exclusive distributor of ValvTechnologies products in Eastern Canada, expanding its severe-service valve offering across power, mining, and heavy industry. Under the agreement, Laurentide Controls will add |
several ValvTechnologies product lines to its portfolio, including V-Series metalseated ball valves, IsoTech parallel slide gate valves, and automated valve assemblies. The products are designed for severe isolation service in |
demanding environments where reliability, safety, and durability are required. The distribution arrangement is intended to support customers operating in power generation, mining, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, refining, |
and other heavy industrial sectors across Eastern Canada. ValvTechnologies, a Valmet company, specialises in the design, development, and manufacture of metal-seated, zero-leakage valves for severeservice applications. |
Velan has shipped a package of more than 1,000 valves for the hydrothermal cleanup unit( HCU) project at Preem’ s Lysekil refinery in Sweden. The project supports Preem’ s transition from conventional fossil fuel production to renewable diesel( HVO100) and sustainable aviation fuel using waste-based feedstocks such as used cooking oil and animal fats. The valve package, delivered through Velan’ s distribution partner Alnab, spans multiple product lines |
including gate, globe, and check valves in pressure seal, small forged, and cast steel designs, as well as wafer checks and triple offset valves. Materials covered include carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, and nickel alloy grades. Velan’ s valves will support the HCU pretreat process, which uses water, heat, pressure, and turbulent flow to clean renewable feedstock. The valves will also serve steam, isolation, and utility applications at the facility. |
Nanning Sun Paper has awarded ANDRITZ repeat orders to supply process technology and equipment for a third pulp mill line and a new paper machine in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China. Startup is scheduled for mid-2027. The ANDRITZ scope of supply for the pulp mill line includes three 360 ° Stacker Reclaimers and four gyratory chip screens for chip |
storage and screening. A highkappa fiberline will provide a capacity of 1,500 adt / d for softwood and 2,200 adt / d for hardwood, incorporating continuous cooking, refining, screening, and washing technologies including the multistage DD-Washer drum displacer washer, the COMPACT PRESS wash press, and the GF-Filter advanced vacuum drum filter washer. |
KBR has been selected by the Live Oak consortium to provide front-end engineering design( FEED) services for a largescale electric natural gas( e-NG) facility in Norfolk, Nebraska, USA. The Live Oak consortium |
is an international partnership comprising TotalEnergies, Osaka Gas, Toho Gas, ITOCHU Corporation, and Tree Energy Solutions. The project is intended to produce electric natural gas( e-NG), also known as e-methane, using |
renewable hydrogen generated through approximately 250 MW of water electrolysis and biogenic carbon dioxide. The hydrogen and captured biogenic CO2 will be combined to produce synthetic methane. |
KBR will execute the FEED scope for the facility. Subject to a final investment decision in 2027, the project is scheduled to begin commercial operations by 2030, with plans to export e-NG to Japan. |
