RAYS delivers cryogenic ball valves for LNG transport
Rheinmetall secures valve order for commercial vehicles
RAYS has supplied a batch of pneumatic ball valves for a liquefied natural gas transport project along the Northern Sea Route . The valves are designed to operate in Arctic conditions , featuring quick opening and closing capabilities . The valves include a drip tray on the extended bonnet to protect the insulation layer and prevent
cold energy loss . They also incorporate fireproof graphite seals and an anti-static design to prevent explosion hazards . RAYS states the valves can operate between -120 ° C and + 60 ° C . The company reports they have passed cryogenic and high-pressure gas tests , meeting the customer ’ s quality requirements for use in the harsh Arctic environment .
Rheinmetall has won an order to manufacture exhaust gas recirculation ( EGR ) valves for a car manufacturer from January 2026 to December 2031 . The contract , booked in June , is valued in the low three-digit million euro range . The company will supply a customised version of its compact EGR valve model for
use in commercial vehicles . Rheinmetall states the valves are designed for high thermal and mechanical loads , with a fail-safe design and long service life . EGR valves help reduce pollutants in both petrol and diesel engines by recirculating exhaust gases , which can lower nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 70 %.
CNC Flow Control acquires Mako Products
CNC Flow Control has acquired Mako Products , LLC , an Oklahoma-based distributor of tube and instrumentation fittings , stainless tubing , ball valves , needle valves and relief valves . The financial terms were not disclosed . Todd Hamlin , President and CEO of CNC , said the acquisition aligns with the company ’ s strategy to grow into a leading flow control franchise . He added that Mako ’ s products will complement CNC ’ s offerings in energy and industrial applications , and provide access to new markets such as aerospace and semiconductors . Thad Shaw , co-owner of Mako , stated that the partnership with CNC will support Mako ’ s growth plans .
Kimray introduces new electric actuator
Kimray has launched a new electric actuator designed for producers seeking to automate control valves . The company states the actuator is easy to install , provides precise control and emits zero emissions . Features include an on-board OLED screen for push-button set-up and calibration , and real-time twoway communication capabilities . Kimray suggests these features can help minimise travel time and improve process monitoring . The actuator can be paired with Kimray valve bodies for use in liquid dump , gas regulation and artificial lift applications . It is certified for use in North and South America , with additional certifications pending .
Tianjin Freya Company introduces B + RS series electric actuator
Tianjin Freya Company has launched the B + RS series electric actuator for standard on-off control and modulating control . The actuator features over-torque protection , motor overheat protection and electrical protection with optical isolation . Tianjin Freya states the actuator uses integrated compression technology to provide a wide range of functions with fewer electronic components , aiming to ensure high electronic control reliability . The SD series actuator features a spline design output shaft , allowing adjustable output arm positioning . It also includes a hand wheel for manual operation during power failures .
