Oxford Flow to supply PRISM for Cadent gas network
Saipem wins carbon capture contract for Tampere e-methane plant
Oxford Flow has secured a fiveyear agreement with Cadent for PRISM technology, supporting upgrades to pressure regulation equipment across the UK gas network. The retrofit solution is designed to replace existing Engineering Research Station( ERS) modules while allowing Cadent’ s underground pressure regulation stations to remain in place.
PRISM matches the flow capacity of legacy equipment while improving reliability and serviceability and reducing emissions. It can be integrated into existing asset infrastructure with minimal modification, avoiding the cost and disruption associated with relocating installations above ground, where replacement components can cost £ 60,000 per site.
Saipem has been awarded a contract by Finnish power-togas developer Ren-Gas for the engineering, procurement and fabrication of a carbon capture unit for the Tampere Power-to- Gas project in Tampere, Finland. Under the contract, Saipem will deliver the first full-scale carbon capture unit based on its proprietary CO2 Solutions technology and industrialized Bluenzyme™ 200 solution. The scope includes engineering, procurement and
fabrication activities, as well as advisory services during installation, commissioning, startup and performance testing. The unit will be integrated into Ren-Gas’ e-methane production facility in Tampere, which is expected to produce approximately 200 GWh per year of renewable synthetic fuel, or e-methane. The fuel will be distributed through existing gas infrastructure for heavy-duty road transport in Germany.
