Richter certifies valve portfolio for SIL applications
Richter Chemie-Technik has certified an extensive valve portfolio to IEC 61508 and EN 17955, covering multiple valve types for SIL applications. The certified portfolio includes ball valves, diaphragm shut-off and control valves, shut-off and control butterfly valves, bottom drain valves, and bellows-sealed globe control valves. According to independent functional safety specialist exida, this is the first EN 17955 certification of a manufacturer of lined valves that it has evaluated to date.
Goetze launches stainless steel pressure reducing valve
Goetze has introduced its 486 series, a piston-operated stainless steel pressure reducing valve for steam, hot water, liquids, air, gases, and vapours up to 200 ° C. The valve is designed for media temperatures from 20 ° C to 200 ° C and inlet pressures up to 16 bar. Depending on the model, available back-pressure ranges are 1.5 – 5 bar or 4.5 – 10 bar. Applications include steam generators, autoclaves and sterilization systems, pasteurization, distillation, drying processes, textile applications, and installations in the food and beverage and paper and packaging industries. The valve reduces higher inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure in industrial process applications. The 486 series uses a stainless steel valve insert that is available as a spare part. The complete insert can be replaced without removing the valve body from the pipework, supporting servicing and maintenance of permanently installed steam and process lines.
Parker launches Viking Xtreme ISO valve series
Parker Hannifin has launched the Viking Xtreme ISO valve series, a compact ISO-standard subbase platform for industrial, harsh-environment, and mobile-related applications. The valve platform extends Parker’ s Viking Xtreme inline valve range and is designed according to non-plug-in ISO 15407-1 for sizes 02 and 01 and ISO 5599-1 for sizes 1, 2, and 3. The Viking Xtreme ISO series can be installed on a single subbase or a stackable manifold. Stackable manifold configurations support pressure zoning in centralised applications, while internal or external pilot configurations can be set in the field.
