WSG secures contracts in Australian energy and infrastructure sectors
WSG Energy Services ( WSG ) has consolidated its position in Australia ’ s energy and infrastructure sectors with several contract wins and the opening of a new facility in Sydney , New South Wales . The company is working on various projects , including road tunnel projects , coal seam gas , LNG , offshore shutdowns , and the precommissioning of wasteto-energy and lithium processing plants . In Sydney , WSG secured a AUD 28M project to procure , install , test and commission fire suppression systems on two motorway tunnels . In Perth , the company was awarded precommissioning contracts for a lithium hydroxide refinery and a waste-to-energy facility . Additionally , WSG is preparing to support a major LNG shutdown in Darwin , Northern Territory . These recent contract awards follow a previous tranche of work scopes across oil and gas and infrastructure sectors valued at AUD 60 million secured in early 2023 .
JVL adds a new range of ‘ captive rod ’ actuators
JVL Industri Elektronik A / S , the Danish motion controls designer and manufacturer , has added a new range of ‘ captive rod ’ actuators to its MIL series electric linear actuators . The MIL17x / 23x captive ball screw actuators are an all-in-one linear positioning solution based on JVL ’ s NEMA-17 and -23 frame
ServoStep™ integrated motors , offering linear speeds up to 125 mm / sec , stroke lengths from 12.7 to 127 mm , thrust force up to 2200N , and linear accuracy up to 0.05mm . The actuators feature rolled ball screw mechanics and a non-rotating guide rod in an enclosed support housing or as external nut versions without a support housing for low axial loads . They are built into the integrated motor in a seamless , coupling-free design , offering a compact linear positioning solution complete with precision motor , feedback encoder , drive electronics , and motion and machine control electronics with optional CAN bus or Ethernet communications .
