INNOVATIONS & SOLUTIONS

UL Solutions launches ECOLOGO certification
UL Solutions Inc.( ULS) has announced its new ECOLOGO certification program for energy and industrial automation equipment that helps manufacturers advance the sustainability of industrial equipment and meet stakeholder demands. UL Solutions’ ECOLOGO Certification is a voluntary, multi-attribute, life cycle-based ecolabel certification that evaluates products and processes for reduced environmental and human health impacts. ECOLOGO is well-known across various types of consumer products, and this new certification for energy and industrial automation equipment is designed to help manufacturers demonstrate their commitment to sustainability
The Instrumentation Products Division Europe( IPDE) of Parker Hannifin has launched Cryogenic Proportional Relief Valves through third-party evaluation according to UL 2711, the Standard for Sustainability of Energy and Industrial Automation Equipment.
Parker cryogenic proportional relief valves
designed to safeguard hydrogen storage tanks and other group 1 gas systems, including cryogenic setups, while enhancing operational efficiency. The valves provide protection from overpressure events through a gradual pressure release mechanism, effectively managing boil-off gas and supporting uninterrupted operations. This reduces media loss and offers substantial cost savings over time. Featuring Parker’ s advanced balanced bellow design, the valves maintain consistent performance even with fluctuating
back pressures. The reliable stem sealing technology enables“ snagfree” cracking and smooth reseating for maximum efficiency, enhancing overall productivity and safety. Each valve is factory-set with an accuracy of ± 3 % for reliable operation within set pressure limits. The valves are PEDapproved and are available with fully integrated Parker’ s A-LOK ® and CPI™ inlet and outlet tube connections, facilitating quick installation and leak-free operation. Additionally, mounting holes for brackets offer convenient and flexible installation options.
COVNA dual-power motorized valve systems
COVNA has developed a valve system powered by a combination of wind and solar energy. This system utilises a high-performance motorised valve and is designed to operate in remote locations where access to a stable electrical grid is unavailable. The dual-power supply ensures uninterrupted and reliable operation. Integration of an advanced automatic control system allows for unattended functionality, significantly reducing operational and maintenance costs. This innovative COVNA solution represents a major advancement in off-grid valve automation.
