AUMA presents CORALINK digital ecosystem
Rheinmetall has acquired a strategically important first order for valves for exhaust gas recirculation ( EGR valves ) from an internationally active new customer in the trucks segment . The customer ordered poppet valves and flap valves for use in the heavy-duty and mediumduty sectors ( HD and MD ). The valves meet the highest requirements for exhaust gas valves according to the EURO-7 standard . The number ordered is almost 1 million parts over a lifetime . The valves will be used in exhaust gas recirculation systems , which serve to lower both nitrogen emissions and the consumption of fuel . With regard to the stricter emission laws being passed in the USA , Asia , and Europe , there will continue to be a high demand for long-term support in the engine sector .
