Aquana announces new remote shutoff valve
908M a year to grow the Alaska legacy business with projects such as Nuna . The Nuna project will add 29 development wells , on-pad infrastructure , and pipelines that tie back to existing KRU processing facilities . Drillsite 3T will be the 49th drillsite developed within the KRU .
Aquana , LLC ., a subsidiary of Geospace Technologies ( GEOS ), has announced the release of the latest product in the Water IoT platform , a new remote shutoff valve known as the Actuator Valve Serial ( AVS ). The Aquana AVS valve is an IP68- rated remote disconnect ball valve designed to integrate with any existing Advanced Metering Infrastructure ( AMI ) platform . The AVS is compatible with AMI solutions from other vendors . This eliminates the need for a separate wireless connection to enable remote shutoff capabilities .
Aquana focused on shorter and easier installation time with the AVS product . The two-piece design allows for separate installation of the valve body and the actuator . While the NPSM Swivel Nut feature supports flexible installation orientation , the AVS offers up to five different valve positions including open , closed , and up to three reducedflow options that utilities can customise to their needs . AVS includes built-in tamper detection that provides alerts in case of potential intrusion .
GRN signs an agreement with Hyphen
The Cabinet of the Government of the Republic of Namibia ( GRN ) has approved entry into an agreement with Hyphen Hydrogen Energy ( Hyphen ) to govern the development , implementation and operation of sub-Saharan Africa ’ s only fully vertically integrated , green hydrogen project . The transformative impact of this project on Namibia and its economy is considerable . The total project capital investment of USD 10bn is roughly equivalent to the country ’ s annual GDP . At full-scale development , the project will produce 2 million tonnes of green ammonia annually . The pioneering Feasibility and Implementation Agreement ( FIA ) governs the process under which Namibia ’ s first green hydrogen project will be realised , as a first step in the implementation of GRN ’ s broader green hydrogen strategy .
