Complying with EPA Efforts to Reduce Fugitive Emissions

The agency also established a waste emissions charge on methane emissions that exceed specified thresholds . In addition , the EPA requires oil and gas producers to report their greenhouse gas data . If fugitive emissions are detected , oil and gas producers must conduct tests and surveys on a quarterly basis . Operations with two or more wellheads must also finalize repairs within 60 days . within the separators has allowed the wells to run more efficiently and has even increased production with an estimated 5-10 MCF depending on the production of the site .
