Danfoss’ AXV: One Valve, Versatile Applications
One of the recent innovations from Danfoss is its AXV mechanical pressure regulator developed for hot gas bypass and liquid expansion applications.
Engineered for air driers, water chillers, and frozen beverage dispensers, the AXV can control evaporator pressure and ensure stable evaporation of temperatures across an entire evaporator surface. This makes it ideal for applications where constant pressure and temperatures are the primary objective.
The AXV is designed as a versatile pressure-regulating valve platform with two dedicated variants, the AXV-H and AXV-I. The former is developed for hot gas bypass applications and is installed between the high- and low-pressure sides. By adapting compressor capacities to the actual evaporator load, it ensures stable evaporation pressure at varying load conditions.
The AXV-I is developed for liquid injections based on evaporation pressure. When evaporation pressure drops, the valve opens proportionally to maintain the defined setpoint. This makes the AXV-I suitable for systems where constant evaporation temperature across the full evaporator is essential.
ABB Upgrades AI Capabilities of My Measurement Assistant +
