Colonial Oil Industries Acquires Atkinson; Expands Southeast Distribution Network
Colonial Oil Industries, Inc. has acquired Atkinson Oil Company LLC of Sandersville, Georgia, a commercial distributor of fuel and lubricants. The move will strengthen its presence across the southeast and expand its ability to deliver fuel and lubricant products to regional customers.

According to the company, the acquisition will maintain existing relationships, and customers will benefit from expanded resources, distribution capabilities, and service offerings.
The acquisition adds 14 Atkinson Oil team members to Colonial Oil Industries as part of an integration process designed to maintain continuity and support long-term growth. Operations will continue in Sandersville and Macon, Georgia, with all existing facilities remaining active.

Fluor Awarded Feasibility Study for UK Mining Project
Fluor Corporation has been selected to perform feasibility study services for Anglo American’ s Woodsmith mining project in North Yorkshire, England.
Woodsmith is a large-scale underground mine with access to the largest known polyhalite fertilizer deposit in the world. It will extract low carbon fertilizer via deep shafts that will be delivered via a 23-mile underground conveyor tunnel to Anglo American ' s materials processing and handling facility in Teedside.
According to Woodsmith, the project has the potential to create a long term source of critical fertilizers for global markets. Construction for tunnelling and shaft sinking is currently underway. When fully operational, the mine is expected to produce 13 million tons of polyhalite fertilizer per year.
