Value Behavioural Values: Behavioural values refer to all good manners that are needed to make our life successful and joyous. They are those values, which we exhibit by our conduct and behaviour in our daily life. Behavioural values will adorn our life and spread cordiality, friendliness, and love all around. Material Values: Material values allow us to survive, and are related to our basic needs as human beings, such as food and clothing and protection from the environment. Example: Humanism, critical thinking, nonviolence, etc.

METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF VALUE EDUCATION
( A) DIRECT AND INDIRECT APPROACHES Direct Approach: Study of values may be given as a separate course like any other subject such as science, Mathematics etc., deliberately after systematic planning. Techniques like story telling, teaching of biographies, proverbs, etc can be adopted. Indirect Approach: desired values may be imparted to students as a byproduct of teaching some other curricular subject or through any activities in schools.
( B) CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR APPROACH
Curricular Approach: In this value education is imparted through curricular activities either directly or indirectly. Co-curricular Approach: In this values are transacted through co- curricular activities like debates, essay competition, drama, games, project works, role-playing etc.
