7 Miles of Defeat
This Saturday Valley View’s JROTC Team will face a 7 mile obstacle challenge. The event confronts teams from High Schools from all across the state. The event consists of different obstacles as of cross country, tire lifting, tireholes, wall climbing, rope climbing, jumping, swimming, and especially, running. This will surely be one of the most challenging competitions of the year. The main purpose of the Howler is to serve as a great challenge for the students that provides them motivation to make effort to do their best for the team and continue making progress in this amazing sport. The students are responsible of the progress and victories of their team. This weekend we will find out which is the best High School of all Arkansas. The best team will win a trophy and the honor of being the best team in the state. Some teams will rise, some will fall, but whatever happens, an incredible show is awaiting for everybody this weekend. The competition will take place this Saturday at 8 o’clock, in the morning in the ASU Campus, Jonesboro. Each game will last for approximately 2 and a half hours, and we will enjoy incredible performances until 5 o’clock in the afternoon, when the event finishes. Last year Valley View High School won first place in this competition, composed by more than 30 different teams from more than twenty schools. This year we hope to do as well as last year, we don’t know if we will win again, but we will surely leave an amazing and enjoyable performance for all to watch. This is going to be one of the best opportunities to demonstrate what we can do, to make sure all Arkansas knows who we are. We are going to make sure all the state knows who is the best. Come on Valley View!
