W 2 IN 0 TE 1 R 3 Fulda Gap Overview Fulda Gap is a game unlike any other game I have played. I may have not played every game out there but I know when one hits you in the heart and gives you a feeling like no other, and Fulda Gap is one of those. The field is challenging enough just walking around let alone taking fire while on it. The challenging “Hamburger Hill”, ditches, streams, forests and small town with spectator view areas, it’s a big scenario players dream come true. This was my 4th year at Fulda Gap. Located at Command Decisions War Centre in Taylorsville, North Carolina. The staff are friendly and the experience is that of a lifetime. I remember my first time at Fulda Gap and being overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the place, I was totally submersed in a big scenario environment, from the players being all decked out and wearing all the greatest outfits, to the amazing markers from Eric Engler to your average customizer. I felt at home, like a place I had been looking for and finally found after searching for years. This great scenario field where I could be pulled through the dirt and given the rough treatment of what it would really be like to experience a war like atmosphere. The sides are divided up from Warsaw to NATO however don’t let that fool you, friends are on both sides and smiles are shared all around! When the moment comes to get on the field and you see that long line of Red or Blue, you stand proud among your mates knowing you are a force to be reckoned with. This year’s event was like that of all others “Amazing”. I turn my radio on a few miles before the field so I can hear the chatter come across as all the command staff get their squads in line and everyone in order. It’s a buzz that gets your blood pumping as you feel the camaraderie come alive! The moment you step out you are greeted by friends all around you and from new faces to old ones you never feel alone. A place where you want to carry your weight to help the team as a whole and work together towards the common goal. Your brother or sister is by your side to help pull you through the most intense 2 days of paintball you have ever had. I feel the shockwave and sound coming from the starting gun going off, I start to march with 4-500 other strong brethren, as we march down the field knowing we are 1
