W 2 IN 0 TE 1 R 3 This battle was the best we played all weekend, Tim’s rolling with the punches paid off and we had an awesome game with difficult battles. This time the enemy would not give us our victory easy. The location was as good as promised, the attacks came from all over the place and you were never really safe from enemy fire. The pitch black underground corridors were good for a nice adrenaline rush as you could expect to be greeted with a huge load of paintballs every time you went around a corner. But when you finally made it through, you’d be on the other side of the fort popping up at the rear of your enemy to hit them from behind. Of course they tried the same on us…. last game was. So we decided to call it a day and we hoped for a better game against the Germans in the fort. Well I can say our hopes where rewarded cause the second part of the day, the game against the Germans in the fort was in one word EPIC! It was an awesome grueling fierce battle. We got assigned by our General to attack the Germans in the moat and to hold them off our respawn point. Well easier said than done. The dry moat is narrow, dirty and flanked by high walls with almost no cover. It was not easy going around the corner with Germans just a meter away throwing smoke, flash bangs and shooting thousands rounds of paint towards you. But hey this is what we came here to do, this is the hard raw gritty paintball Tim Barnett was talking about, this was our kind of game. So we kept on slamming on the German defense and after an hour or so we pierced through and pushed them back to their respawn. It is obvious to say we won that game as well. So that is 2 major victories for the Dutch. Before we entered this last game we already knew we had the most. We knew upfront we would be the winners of this weekend but for the statistics we also won the last game with a total victory for the Dutch players! Overall we had a great weekend. We had a blast with all the Dutch players and of course our friends from Germany, France and the UK…. Tim’s promise of raw gritty paintball game was not a lie……. However it must be said that raw gritty paintball is what you should expect. So there is no running water, no showers, no real bar, no entertainment, very basic food which in our opinion was a real down point cause the player pack promised otherwise but if you take that away and just look at the game itself and the awesome location, you have a genuine hardcore scenario paintball Big game…. Like I said earlier, a good game organizer rolls with the punches. Tim decided to mix the factions together and make 2 Factions of Dutch/ UK players and GE/French players due to uneven numbers. Again we made ready for a brutal battle and as the Germans and French players entered the field, the Dutch players formed a line next to the road to let our opponents pass, while we sang the tune of the Star Wars Imperial March…..the look on their faces…..priceless!
