R TE 3 IN 1 W 20 The Fort game by Shoreline 13, 14 and 15th of June Friday 14 June 2013 Valken corps team LimaBravo is on route to a much promising Big game called “The Fort” by Shoreline in Blenod les Touls, France. Months before this game, shoreline teased us with some awesome footage of this very unique location in France. A historical fort build during the days of good old Napoleon complete with trenches, moulds, bunkers and long dark, very dark hallways and corridors promising fears and close quarter battles…. So you can understand we were eager to play this game. This would be our first Shoreline organized Big game and also our first Valken sponsored Big game so we as a Valken corps team had to show our best. After 5 hours driving from the Netherlands we arrived at the location. After being greeted by the Shoreline staff we went to search for a good place to put our camp up. There were 4 factions during this game. The UK, French, German and Dutch players would battle against each other so it’s obvious the 4 factions would prefer to camp together. The introduction of the game was very noisy and accompanied by a lot of smoke, music, tough talk and the introduction of our faction generals. After this we walked to our starting point and we made ready to play our first game against the French. Finally the game started and we pushed t owards the enemy but it took some time before we encountered them, and when we did, we blew them away with all the dutchies together. We pushed them so far back that the game Marshalls asked us to fall back and give them the chance to come out of their respawn point. So we did but they never really recovered from that first attack and with the thrill and adrenaline we hoped for was gone as was the motivation of our opponents. Tim Barnett of Shoreline popped up in the tent and introduced himself to us and told us that because of the weather, the game would start later the next day. So people had the time to register the next day instead of doing it now and be soaking wet…. A good call in our opinion and for me it was a good sign that the organizer rolls with the punches so to say… The next morning the sun was smiling at us and we made ready for our first game of the day. The plan was that the 4 factions would play on 2 fields at the same time. 2 factions would battle in the fort and 2 would battle in the woods next to the fort. As a team play paintball every weekend and we play a lot of Big games, for us a game is all about quality and not quantity. So spray and pray is not ??????????????????????????????)???????????????????????????e???????????(??((
