R TE 3 IN 1 W 20 The Sunday game was a four hour game on the same terrain, to be honest we had a wild long night at the hotel so our brains were a bit foggy to say the least and we arrived a half hour late and the game already started. We got our gear together and just jumped in with the other UK players and started to do the same as we did at the game yesterday and systematically clear the terrain in front of us…. Murphy’s law of combat has a rule which says “when the attack is going well then it’s probably an ambush” and that was not far away from the truth. We pushed onwards to find ourselves surrounded by our opponents. But for us this was just making things interesting, so we went for it and counter attack the players trying to surround us. Unfortunately at that same moment rain started to pour down on us and the game was called due to a slippery and dangerous terrain and some rumor we heard about Portuguese not liking rain…. After the award ceremony we said goodbye to our friends and we got ready to fly back to the Netherlands and leave a very wet Portugal behind us… Overall we had a great time, just like last year. The Portugal Big game is run by volunteers with a limited budget, with that in mind the effort they put into this game is evident. There is no lack of gracious hospitality, a well-planned out and executed game even though they have limited resources. We thank Portugal for their amazing accommodation and event, we will see you next year! Grtzz Reinier TC LimaBravo Valken Corps Regional Commander Netherlands 12
