An artistic leader Steven Walker helps create vibrant places and spaces

Steven Walker , a full-time artist , was not thrilled to hear rare snow forecasts in South Georgia in January . “ We moved down here from Ohio to get away from the snow ,” he said with a laugh . “ We ” includes Walker , his wife Evelyn , and their daughter Poppy . The family has called Lowndes County home for several years , where Walker has not only pursued his artistic career but also taken on a leadership role in the local arts community .
