Georgia Beer Co . Co-Founder and Director of Business Development Chris Jones shows spent grain which is a byproduct of brewing . This bin of grain weighs about 600 lbs and consists mainly of barley that has been crushed open , steeped in hot water and rinsed clean to remove the sugars . The brewery sells the grain to local farmers for cows to consume .
The pictured roselle seeds will be used in Georgia Beer Co .’ s upcoming special winter drink called Hibiscus Cider .
The founders plan to continue that holiday tradition with some new features and seasonal sips this year to help reign in the holidays .
“ The beers are different . We do not always offer the same beers . We ’ ve enhanced our Beer Garden . There ’ s new chairs and artificial turf out there to make it a more inviting space ,” Jones said .
Santa Claus and Mrs . Claus will make an appearance at the
brewery for the children eager to meet them . Live music will be offered on Friday , Saturday and Sunday . Holiday-centered trivia nights will be held on Wednesdays at the establishment . Customers can enjoy their seasonal sips in the toasty heat offered by the propane space heaters that will be stationed throughout the Beer Garden .
Taproom guests will be able to taste and purchase the following seasonal drinks for Winter : Pavilion Peanut Butter Porter , Irish Stout , Lingonberry Sour , Belgian Trippel and Hibiscus Cider .
The business specializes in brewing beers true to traditional style with several Georgia-grown ingredients .
