Willis L . Miller Library ’ s Children ’ s area is preparing for the upcoming holiday season . Families with children or teenagers , aged 1 to 18 , are invited to the seasonal activities and events .

They will also have the Tillie the Traveling Library stationed out for children to view and possibly receive books from . The library ’ s staff will be participating in the City of Valdosta ’ s annual Christmas Parade . Kamppi said they are excited to decorate and trick out Tillie for local community members to view .
A new reading challenge will be launched in December .
“ When kids have breaks like summer break or Christmas break , some of them don ’ t want to think about school or they don ’ t want to learn . I want to address every learning slide whether it ’ s spring break , summer slide or holiday break . I want them to read during their winter break ,” she said .
