Originally from Fairfield, Connecticut, Henry Friedman began playing the horn at the age of 9. Friedman earned a Bachelor of Music in Brass Studies from New York University with Eric Reed of the American Brass Quintet. In 2025 he began his Master of Music studies at the Curtis Institute of Music with Jennifer Montone and Jeffrey Lang of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

20-year-old Vincent Garcia-Hettinger joins from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied with Peter Wiley, Gary Hoffman, Yumi Kendall, Nick Canellakis, and Christine Lee. Vincent made his solo debut with the San Antonio Symphony at age 13, and under the tutelage of Ken Freudigman, was a prize winner in the International Klein Competition and Sphinx Competition at age 17.

South Korean violinist Jaeyoun Hwang is currently pursuing a Doctoral of Musical Arts at Sony Brook University under the guidance of Hagai Shaham. She earned a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Ronald Copes. As an orchestral player, she has performed

with the St. Louis Symphony and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Soomi Park previously served as a fellow of the New World Symphony, Associate Concertmaster of the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, and Concertmaster of the USC Thornton Symphony. She previously performed as a substitute violinist with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and was a member of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.

Charles Zandieh began his cello studies at age four in New York and holds degrees from The Juilliard School and The Yale School of Music. His principal teachers include Alex Croxton, Clara Kim, and Paul Watkins. Charles was most recently a oneyear section cello member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

For Lisa Bergman, the best part of spending time outdoors is often the silence.

“ Being in nature and having time to be quiet has a great impact on me,” Bergman said.“ Life is busy and noisy, and we have a great life, but it can be stressful. Just like in music, sometimes the silence is the most important part.”

Bergman’ s love of hiking and camping started when she was a Girl Scout attending sleepaway camps. In grad school at Indiana University, she found more friends who loved the outdoors and would sneak in camping trips whenever they could. In 2020, Bergman and her husband purchased an Airstream travel trailer, which enriches their yearly camping trips to Cunningham Falls State Park, and vacations, like a trip to Acadia National Park this past July.

“ Part of camping is being outdoors, hearing the sounds, and seeing everything that’ s so beautiful— nature is perfectly imperfect,” Bergman said.
