RURAL AND MIGRANT MINISTRIES works for the creation of a just , rural New York State through : nurturing leadership , standing with the disenfranchised , especially farmworkers and rural workers , and changing unjust systems and structures . Their rural justice center , Spark , located in Sullivan County , NY supports the Rural Academy of the People programs , such as cooperative business training , rural education , organizing education , etc .

THE WALK is a once-in-a-lifetime travelling festival led by a 3.5 m puppet of a 9-year-old Syrian refugee girl called “ Little Amal ”. Funds supported Amal ’ s journey - over 8,000 kilometers ( 4,971 miles ) from the Syria-Turkey border to the United Kingdom - in search of her mother . The project - of which V is an ambassador - will bring global attention to the plight of refugees .
THE YOUNG CENTER FOR IMMIGRANT CHILDREN ’ S RIGHTS in Brownsville , TX protects and
advances the rights and best interests of immigrant children according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and state and federal law . The program is a champion for the best interests of children who arrive in the United States on their own , from all corners of the world , supporting them in deportation proceedings , advocating for their best interests , and standing for the creation of a dedicated children ’ s immigrant justice system that ensures the safety and well-being of every child . The Young Center ’ s goal is to change the immigration system so that children in immigration proceedings are recognized as children , and best interests are made a part of the decisionmaking process .
VENCEREMOS is a worker-based organization in Arkansas whose mission is to ensure the human rights of poultry workers . Venceremos seeks to spearhead adaptation of the Worker-driven Social Responsibility model to the poultry supply chain . Funds supported their general work in the wake of the Covid pandemic which greatly put workers at risk .
