What is the craziest thing you have done since becoming a Mother?
The craziest thing I’ve ever done as a parent and still do. At night sometimes i creep into my
child’s room after bedtime to make sure she’s still alive. Then hover and stare until i see some
kind of movement. “Was that a breath? It was...” sign of relief. I definitely think I’ll be doing that
until she’s a teenager.
What do you do for fun?
For fun my daughter and I go to the movies, read books, play piano together and hit the beach
even though I’m not a big fan of the water. We also do some traveling.
Are you close with your Mother? and how does she assist you?
My relationship with my mother isn’t a distant one but we aren’t very close either our
relationship is good at best. She assists me with my daughter by getting her ready for school
some morning, when I can’t be around the night before. Due to the long hours I’m required to
work, she also takes her to piano lessons and helps her with her homework.
What advice would you give yourself ten (10) years ago?
I would tell the me of ten years ago live your dreams you can do anything you put your mind
too. It’s okay to fail failure is a sign that you are trying. Don’t second guess or procrastinate, get
out there, take life by the horns and live it. Lead your life the way you want too and not for the
enjoyment of others.
If you had to do it all over again, what would you change?
I would change nothing, for every mistake that i have made has thought me valuable lessons.
The situations that I thought had broken me have made me stronger. The people that have told
me that i can’t i have made me push myself even harder to show them and prove to myself that
i can be successful at anything that i put my mind too. Life is a journey and its lessons are a
major part of it so why reverse it.
