UVU PR CREW Issue 4 | Page 8

As the VP of Advocacy, I am over an exciting program within PRSSA called the High School Outreach Program. This program is designed to educate future college and university students about PRSSA and a career in Public Relations. I have had the opportunity to speak with many UVU freshmen who are undecided on their major, most of the time when I bring up Public Relations as an option they don't have any clue what PR is and what a PR professional does. My goal with this program is to make incoming freshmen aware of the exciting aspects that a PR career holds, and also how PRSSA can help them to have a successful future within the PR world.
