UTILITY VEHICLES AND PERSONNEL MOVEMENT
The PAUS TSL 853 telescopic swivel loader is known as the “ Swiss Army Knife ” for underground , the company says
specifically developed for underground mining and tunnelling , and proven across the globe for decades .
The carriers include PAUS ’ smallest articulated carrier , series type UNI 40 , with hydrostatic drive for most narrow-vein mining or tunnelling applications , and a bigger articulated carrier , series type UNI 50 , available with hydrostatic and hydrodynamic drive for mid-to-large applications . Both carriers can be equipped with different types of scissor lifts or telescopic platforms .
Whereas the scissor lift provides a platform with much more space and payload , the telescopic boom comes with flexibility and a long reach . Additionally , the scissor lift can be equipped with various additional equipment and tools for efficient , easy and safe handling of
different tasks . The list includes lifting jacks or cranes in the platform for handling of heavy parts , an on-board compressor with air supply to the platform for use of pneumatic tools , an onboard generator with electricity supply to the platform for use of electric tools , and many more . Additional supplies like air or power for tools and equipment like cable runs are available as an option on the telescopic platforms .
Another solution to mention is the PAUS TSL 853 telescopic swivel loader , which features a changeable system and a variety of attachments like shovels , forks , load hooks , hydraulic hammers and working platforms . This machine is also available with rear power lift for carrying additional rear attachments and a tow bar for trailers . One highlight of the TSL 853 is the selfpropelled platform . “ Due to the endless applications of this machine , it is known in the industry as the ‘ Swiss Army Knife ’ for underground ,” PAUS said .
Another multi-purpose machine in the PAUS range that has gained worldwide appeal is the MinCa 18 and its predecessor , the MinCa 26 .
The MinCa product line was launched in the early 1980s and has continuously been updated , always following the latest available technologies .
Over the years , close to 2,000 units have been delivered , some of which are still going strong with more than 40,000 operating hours . The Minca 18 of today has the strongest chassis yet , combined with suspension that offers ultimate comfort , according to the company . This suspension was developed over numerous test cycles at the ATP Automotive Testing Center , together with experienced automotive engineers that also work for Germany-based car manufacturers . The outcome is high stability , continuous safe control over all vehicle movements and unmatched driving comfort for the operator and passengers , the company said . All this come with a payload of 4 t .
Most miners know the MinCa 18 mainly as a passenger carrier , which aligns with some 80 % of vehicles being used out in the field . But , with its high payload and versatility , Minca 18 also is a dedicated utility vehicle . “ Its relatively small size and optional four-wheel steering makes it ideal for all kinds of jobs , either in mines with limited space or with long distances to travel ,” PAUS said .
