AGGIE SPECIAL OLYMPIC GAMES
Special Olympics Games are hosted twice a year by USU. In the 2013-2014 school year, the Games committee sponsored the Fall Area North Swim Meet hosting over 200 athletes. In the spring, the committee hosted the Area North Track and Field Meet which had 350 athletes registered, but was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Special Olympics Games also hosted a basketball game during the annual Week of Welcome pitting the Aggie Special Olympics team against the USU Men's Basketball team. A crowd favorite, the Aggie Special Olympic team continued their winning streak. Along with hosting athletic events, the Special Olympics Games partnered with the Utah Miss Amazing Pageant to showcase the talents of 35 young women with intellectual disabilities.
