PALS
The PALS program is a youth mentoring program were USU students are matched with 6- to 16 year-olds in Cache Valley and spend time with them weekly. During the 2013-2014, there were 33 active PAL mentees and 28 active PALS mentors.
The United Way of Cache Valley sponsored the program. This year, the PALS program expanded to work with in the Wilson Elementary and Hillcrest Elementary after-school program. The PALS held a “super activity” in March which took PALS mentors and mentees to Salt Lake to visit the Leonardo Museum.

SENIOR UNIVERSITY
Senior University (“Senior U”) provides Cache Valley seniors with weekly intellectually stimulating classroom instruction in various topics. In 2013-2014, 25 seniors participated as studentsthe Senior U program. 20 individuals volunteered to teach, including 19 USU professors. Favorite speakers included Dr. Michael Ballam, Dr. Jeannie Johnson, and Dr. Andy Anderson. This year, Senior U moved the class from the USU campus to the Cache County Senior Citizen Center.
