SAFETY

As a new model, it’s really important that you are able to assure your own
safety when planning a shoot. There are 4 great ways of assuring the safety of
a shoot:
-  Ask to bring an escort: If you are under 18, you are legally obligated to
bring a parent to the shoot or to make him/her sign a release form. Use
that to your advantage and bring your parent as an escort. If you are older
than 18, you can ask the photographer if you could bring a friend with you
(some photographers are reticent to the idea of bringing a boyfriend/
girlfriend as an escort. Don’t be too alarmed if they are, there are plenty of
good reasons why a boyfriend or a girlfriend on the set might compromise
the quality of the pictures. )
A photographer who doesn't want you to bring any kind of escort should be a
RED FLAG
