On Sunday, Impact led the Schenectady congregation in worship. Beginning with Sunday School and ending with the benediction, Impact Brass was privileged to lead all aspects of the Sunday morning ministry. One of the highlights of the morning was when we were able to join with the Schenectady Songsters under the direction of Divisional Music Director, Erik Jones, to sing “Somebody Prayer T H E S A LVAT I O N A R M Y U S A E A S T For Me”. The weekend was filled with joy, love, and fellowship. One of the amazing things about music ministry in the Salvation Army is relationships that are cultivated through our shared love of music. It has the power to bring people closer together to God in a way that little else does. When asked about the weekend, Major Mike Himes was quoted as saying, “Impact Brass was a much needed shot in the arm for our Corps. We were blessed by the music, encouraged by their testimony, and inspired by their community service.” Impact Brass treasures the friendships and memories made through our Schenectady band trip and we pray for more opportunities to spread the Gospel in this very special way. ■ FA L L 2 0 1 9 | USA EAST MUSIC BULLETIN • 11
