Because of the war and too many stereotypical people the new generation of high school and college students is turning to drugs, alcohol and other forms of substances. The reason behind this so called, Counterculture Movement is to be different and break the stereotype, Ramsey Taylor told us what he thinks about the movement from his perspective as a supporter, “The real reason I’m here is because I’m sick of my parents telling me what to do and their views clouding my judgment, all you need is love, really, just think about it." After talking to Ramsey we tracked down his father John Taylor so we could get both sides of the story, this is what he said, "I hate that Ramsey left to go do drugs and listen to crappy music, he lacks the view to see the big picture that everything happens for a reason and the war is going to benefit the American people." With this interview we get a broad view of the generation gap in between parents and children. One of the biggest events that are part of this movement is the Woodstock Music & Art Fair in Bethel, NY. Some of the headlining acts were, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Arlo Guthrie, Santana, and Jimmy Hendrix. Over 400,000 people attended the three day music festival to enjoy different music and groups. Womans Rights

If you are a woman right now you are experiencing a lot of change in your role in society. You might be experiencing new horizons and differneces in your home and now available for more time in the work place. With the recent Equal Rights Amendments that were passed last month many women and men are asking questions. What can women do now? Can they work as much as men? How differently will they be paid? Well the answer to these lies in the book "The Feminine Mystique" the main plot of the book is to persuade women that theory have power in the society and they have the same rights as men. The author of the informative book, Betty Friedan first intent was to make an article but no magazine would publish her so she decided to write a book instead. An influence of this book is the idea of abortion which the legalization of it will be brought up in an immerging case "Roe vs Wade." The basis of the case is that women want to be able to make the decision to have their baby aborted. This topic will be under review on the date of January 22nd, 1973.
