The Uruguayan travel industry has grown tremendously within the last couple of years resulting in job creation and an added income. Uruguay’ s tourist industry does have it’ s concerns. For one, they are nervous that due to the growing popularity, Uruguay will become a regular vacation and party destination. This would make the country less desirable and also degrade the country – something that no one wants to see happen. Another major concern for the Country of Uruguay is the Argentinean economy. Most of Uruguay’ s tourists are from Argentina, so if their economy takes an unexpected plunge, it could cost Uruguay a lot. Tourism is expected to be a major industry for a long time in Uruguay, and the people of Uruguay are trying to keep it that way.
