to initiate work on the proposal
the re­plans and pave the way for
investment in Haringey district.
The Fountayne Road Regeneration
project will transform the site and
contribute to the wider regeneration
of the area. The project involves the
redevelopment of the area between
Seven Sisters and Tottenham High
Road, Broad Lane, Totten­ham Hale
Station. The Iron Foundry closed in
the 1950s and has been partly empty
ever since, becoming both symptom
and cause of the area’s decline.
The permitted scheme involves the
provision of:
- 8 Two bedroom new homes
- Commercial retail space
- Library
- A cafe and a restaurant at ground
floor level
- Two kiosks and a public space
around the entrances
- A furniture school
- Gym and pool at ground floor and
basement level
- Two Churches
- Counselling and Physiotherapy
rooms
- Art gallery and artist studios
- Roof garden
