TRAP HOUSE

UE: First of all thank you for doing this interview with UrbanELITE, I know you are busy right now with a number of things you are working on. For those who may not be familiar with the work you've done, go ahead and introduce yourself a little.

TH: Well, I'm an Arizona native...born and raised in West Phoenix. Started doing music around the age of 14 or so, didn't take it seriously until I got older. A good friend of mine insisted that I give music a try, he thought I was talented and saw that I was into some things that I probably shouldn't have been into. So I went ahead and gave it a try...which was about 2009. Since then I've put out 8 projects, and I've just been moving around and trying to build on what I've been growing so far.

UE: Yeah 2009 was about the time we first heard about you. Did you collaborate with anyone on any projects before then or was that just like....the very very beginning of it all for you?

TH: Nah I wasn't doing any music before then I was on a whole different page....doing some different things.

UE: I know 2013 was a huge successful year for you with the release of your CD and mixtapes, how do you feel personally about the growth that you've had?

TH: I feel really good about it. I remember a time in 2009 when a good friend of mine (West Coast Cam)...who I didn't know back then..., came to Arizona. He wanted to know who were the greatest artists that were out here. He asked another friend of mine...and that friend didn't mention me. Even though he knew I was a good rapper, I wasn't known and didn't have anything going on. Instead of taking it as a negative, I wanted to make it a situation where the next time that was asked by ANYBODY in the state, they would have no choice but to say my name.

UE: Lets talk about this year specifically. Have you seen any major changes between 2012 and 2013 in regards to your success?

TH: I feel like this (2013) has been my greatest year, I feel like people are really paying attention to what I'm doing. Not only paying attention to it, getting behind it and supporting me which is something you don't traditionally see in this state. For whatever reason, people really resonate with what I'm doing. Its a good feeling!

UE: Now one thing that I've noticed about you that is different from many of the other local artists is in regards to Social Networking. You thoroughly interact with everybody. You don't leave anyone out, you take the time to comment on people's posts and on your own posts, you reach out to those who ask you to reach out to them for whatever reason. Do you think that plays a part in a lot of your success so far?

TH: I think that when people buy music, its an investment...and they (the fans) are investing in you as a person, not the cliché version of you that you think they want to see. So whatever it is that you put forward and project into the atmosphere, more than likely that's what they are going to remember you by..and I just want people to know that I am a human being before I am a rapper...that I am a stand-up guy
