With the built structure taking the entirety of the site , it was a challenge to find vacant space to store materials and machinery . Fortunately , the land behind this home was vacant and with the permission of its owner it was used as required .
The complexity of this home presented construction challenges both in architectural and interior details . The aesthetics of vision from the design phase must be meticulously planned and carried out to the reality of construction .
The linear details in the master ensuite cabinet work required expert trades to be able to deliver on the desired outcome . The peculiarity of the cabinets and timber patterns made it difficult to install and was built in pieces and assembled on site to accurately create the intended visual .
Another consideration , whilst not instantly noticeable is the staircase . The feature brick wall being of brute material , was set as a finished product before the rail and steps were installed , making the process less forgiving .
In retrospect , the journey of creating this home of great design and build completely , added to the sense of accomplishment shared amongst all involved .
