U.G. Digital Mag: Other people will come around, and have ulterior motives. It’s unfortunate it has to be like that, but you’ll continue to inspire.

Diamond P.: Thank you. I appreciate that.

U.G. Digital Mag: How can people keep up with you right now?

Diamond P.: My site is under construction, but the quickest and easiest way to catch me is on Instagram. That’s @darealdiamondp … I do run my pages. I do respond back at times, if I can. Sometimes, I can’t respond to everybody. The reason I respond is I like them to know I’m the same Diamond. I don’t want people to feel like I can’t speak. I like to interact. Some people I ignore because some things just don’t need an answer. I try to answer everyone though in a timely and respectable way.

U.G. Digital Mag: That’s dope. A lot of artists have nothing to do with their pages at all. That’s dope for sure. Are there any words of encouragement at all to readers?

Diamond P.: I just want to say if this is something you want to do, it’s not easy. It’s very manipulative. I’d advise them to stay focused, and learn the business. Especially independent artists, it’s 95% business, 5% music. Stay positive and focused. Just learn the business and have fun.
