Jessica Chance a socially conscious native Baltimorean with a
Jessica Chance passion
for reading, fashion and traveling. After a recent trip to
the Dominican Republic Jessica decided that she wanted to
share her passion for reading with others in her community, to
once again inspire adults and children alike to nd the joy in
reading. Being from a neighborhood that has been deemed as
high risk it is important for Jessica to remind people that as long
as you have the unwavering desire to be more… nothing can
stand in the way. Reading allows one to gain knowledge about
a variety of subjects; just imagine how reading about science
and math or fashion or any other subject can help you take the
necessary steps to achieve your ultimate goal. Jessica wants
every little brown girl and boy to realize they have the
necessary tools to achieve any goal on their nearest bookshelf,
and at the nearest library or bookstore. As a 26 year old proud
Alum of Delaware State University, Jessica is taking the charge
to make her mark on the world seriously.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA but currently residing in sunny
Orlando, FL. I consider myself a free spirited aspiring Author.
Writing gives me a sense of liberation and purpose which is why I

myself as a poet, novelist, and creative writer. I would much

community to uplift one another. To keep records to found by
future generations of our successes, opinions, stories, tales, etc.
Writing is art, love, passion, and creativity, anything you want it to
be really. It is truth, factual, honest. It simply is. You can create and
recreate the most beautiful dreams, or you can set the scene or
give the back story to most thrilling of nightmares.
Writing is absolute freedom.
Joining the team to write for Urban Freedom Magazine is nothing
short of an honor. I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of such
movement because I truly do have a passion for self-expression.
Urban Freedom offers a platform for me to openly express myself
as an individual.
