Codes And
Policies
Researching municipal codes and policies in
your local area is an important aspect of
designing an edible landscape in the urban
environment. There are some instances where
policies are outdated or nonexistent. It will be
part of the project development to update or
modify these codes/ordinances to ensure your
success.
State Regulations
Due to the rising popularity of urban
agriculture, some state legislators, including
California, have enacted policies to increase
access to urban farming.
