What were the most important factors that contributed to your business success?
Trust and networking. We have to work together as a people and that’s what I try to do every day.
Build, work and grow so that I succeed as well as those around me.
How does The Date Whisperer reflect you as a person?
That if I believe in you, I will fight with all I have for your success and even when everyone has or it
looks like I should give up, I will keep the faith. I’m driven and I won’t take no for answer.
Did you at times want to give up and shut The Date Whisperer down altogether? (If so, how did
you overcome this)?
Every other day I wanted to close the doors. Then I reflect on what I have sacrificed, and the gift I
have been trusted with. It has taken a while to get this far and it wasn’t easy. But I’m still standing;
it’s been no one but God that has held my hand through this daily. Owning a business isn’t for the
weak period. It will test you with in itself how bad do you want this. It’s a sacrifice, a struggle and a
battle but the small payouts make it all worthwhile.
Can you provide some additional advice on the steps you recommend to others that may want
to venture into entrepreneurship of a service.
Know and believe that it works and that you have a much needed service. If it’s not genuine it
won’t last long, also maintain multiple streams of income at all times.
What is your service price range?
Right now we vary from $19.99- $500.00 depending on membership level and counseling services
requested.

Now this is not your only business, as you mentioned earlier and I’ve done my research. In addition to Date Whisperer and Fightin4Lives your non-profit organization, there is also DMV Live
Connections, can you elaborate on the two and how they tie into The Date Whisperer?
DMVLive Connections is a match making/ online dating service. To go with the times we have created an online dating service equivalent to that of e-Harmony and Match.com. We will have Live
Connections in the DMV, L.A., N.Y., Atlanta, Chicago, and Miami within the upcoming months. DMV
will be live at the end of the month. My personal life is on the back burner at this time. I make sure
to take a day out the week for my kids and to rest. I can be honest and say, my life is my work.
