How hard was it to make the transition?
To run a successful promotions business, you must work no less than 6 nights a week and
spend all day networking, making calls, organizing people and numerous other tasks. For me,
planning all day was getting old. However, even though I’d joined up with 5Linx, for the next
two years I continued to do both. I didn’t sleep. Eventually, I was beginning to feel as if my
time was being divided in too many ways and questioned what kind of success could I obtain
if I focused solely on 5Linx. I stopped promoting all together and focused strictly on 5Linx.
Within one year of leaving promotions, my third year in 5Linx, I was able to obtain platinum
status.
Did your experience as a promoter aide you in anyway with your success in
5Linx?
Yes, it did! I think the most important tool that I brought with me was the experience of running a business. I truly believe that my years of running a business gave me an edge. It made
me an independent thinker. Some people have wavering dedication, they have to work for
someone else. What I mean by that, is some people work better when being told what to do.
For instance, start at 9 end at 5, your duties are this, basically they perform better or need
that structure. They have to be told what to do, whereas, I'm a self starter. 5Linx is an excellent opportunity for a person to run a business from home part time and make full time
money in energy, telecommunications and healthcare.
