Freshman Retreat : Freshman Retreat will be a school day retreat on Friday , August 30 , at Camp Widjiwagan . Freshman will meet at CPA early Friday morning and return by 3 p . m . on Friday a�ernoon .
-New Friday Late Start Day �is year , our late start day will be on Fridays . Class will begin at 8:25 a . m . on Fridays , still ending at 3 p . m . Classes on our late start Fridays will meet for 60 minutes instead of the regular 65 minutes . Please note that we will not have a late start day on the first Friday of the school year , August 9 , but will commence on Friday , August 16 .
-New US Car Dismissal Procedure & A�ernoon Office Hours Due to us running the same bell schedule in grades 6-12 this year , we have had to make some changes to our a�ernoon dismissal procedure for US student drivers and car riders . Student drivers , as well as car riders , will not be allowed to report to their car to leave campus until 3:10 p . m . �is allows a 10-minute window for middle school families to leave campus . Also , due to the flow of LS and MS carpools , we are asking US carpool families to arrive on campus at 3:10 p . m . or later to pick up your child . Teachers will be available between 3:00-3:10 for a�ernoon office hours to answer any student questions . Please note that any student participating in an on campus a�er school activity will be dismissed when the bell rings at 3:00 p . m . �ank you for your patience as we begin the school year .
-New Update to Student Cell Phone Policy In order to promote community , students will not be allowed to access their phones during lunch , and all phones must be stowed away . Our hope is this will promote student face-to-face interactions and engagement as we seek to build deeper relationships within our US community . Failure to follow this procedure will result in disciplinary consequences . �erefore , for the 2024-25 school year , students will only be allowed to have their phones during class transitions , as students will still be required to put their phones in the cell phone pockets during class time .
-Enforcement of Uniform Guidelines We are asking all CPA parents to partner with us in the enforcement of the CPA uniform policy set forth by our board of trust and campus-wide leadership team . Failure to follow Uniform Guidelines will result in disciplinary consequences . �e 2024-25 Uniform Guidelines are located in MyCPA > Back-to-School Resource Board .
All outerwear must be sourced by CPA as official CPA branded clothing , the CPA Roar Store , or Max & Alice . Any outerwear that does not meet these requirements will not meet the uniform guidelines . All uniform polo shirts ( short or long sleeve , white , purple , black ) must be originally purchased from Max & Alice School Uniforms . CPA polo shirts from the Roar Store / athletic teams do not meet the uniform guidelines . Boys must have a belt and have all shirts tucked in . Skirt length will be enforced to 5 inches from the top of the knee . All skirts must meet this uniform guideline .
