ANGUISH ! Teamwork is a challenging experience with many students anecdotally naming it the worst part of their study at University . There is an urgent need for a pedagogical framework to authentically support collaborative student learning and simultaneously attain critical graduate capabilities for the future of work .
KDP ! The Knowing Doing Producing Model is based on the hypothesis that curriculum is delivered through productive and authentic student interactions across all course content rather than only for assessments . Through application of the model , students embody collaborative processes and embrace team assessments in a genuine spirit of collaboration .
BRIDGE ! KDP ( Collaboration ) is a conceptual bridge that enables academics to position their existing course content in a way that supports students to traverse the journey from teamwork to collaboration . The cyclical nature reinforces that employable skills are borne from sustained and repeated practice in authentic contexts . This bridge successfully prepares our graduates for life of agility , imagination , resilience and most critically , being comfortable with ambiguity and failure .
INVITATION ! We believe that the model is transferrable across faculties and courses since it is discipline agnostic and flexible in implementation . We invite you to test the KDP Model within practical and theoretical frameworks of your courses , and be part of a game changing pedagogical approach to curriculum design .
