Look for compositions with a single focal point that tell a clear story .

Calm , clean backgrounds help guide the viewer ' s eye to the focal point .

Capture interesting perspectives using a range of camera angles .

Expression and action is interesting , unposed and natural , capturing a genuine moment in time . A sense of movement can also help create fresh and spirited imagery .

Focus on representing an authentic range of emotions – from quiet introspection to livelier expressions . We keep our distance from cheesy grins and overly posed compositions .

Aim for vibrant pops of colour that leverage our accent palette in a natural and unforced way . These colour pops can come through in the styling of the talents ’ wardrobe or their surrounding environment .

Avoid desaturated and muted images , as they fall flat alongside the UNSW yellow in layout .

Look for crisp images with bright , warm and where possible , natural light .
