Heart Hand Mind

Through the process of developing this brand refresh , we had the opportunity to think deeply about what makes UNSW unique .

Our motto has always been “ Knowledge by hand and mind ”, which speaks to our focus on academic excellence and realworld outcomes .

But through this process , it became clear that a key part was missing : the idea of heart . It ’ s something that ’ s always been tangibly true of UNSW , but never articulated .

Heart Hand Mind is now the key framework for how we talk about who we are , the way we do things and our future ambitions , both internally and externally .

These three things together give us our brand idea , Collective Difference .
