UNSW Allens Hub for Technology , Law and Innovation is a community of scholars whose research seeks to understand the diverse interactions between technological change , law , and legal practice .
The community is actively involved in policy debates and works with lawyers , courts , government , standards bodies , civil society and industry on a range of policy and legal issues . This includes challenging questions such as how the law ought to respond to developments in artificial intelligence , how regulation can enhance cyber security , and how technology can assist ( appropriately and responsibly ) in law-adjacent processes , including legislative drafting , litigation , legal practice , administrative decision-making and compliance .
> Report with the Australasian Institute for Judicial Administration on artificial intelligence decision-making and the courts .
> Research collaborations with Commonwealth and State governments around important legal and governance issues .
> Host for FLIP Stream , working with the Law Society of New South Wales on issues relevant to the future of the legal profession . 16 •
