PRME Future Plans ( 2021 – 2023 )

UNSW Business School Mission : To make a difference by equipping our graduates and stakeholders to find better ways to create sustainable economic and social value .
We will do this through innovative research and transformative learning in collaboration with our business , government , university and community partners in Australia and globally .
We are committed to being leaders in inclusive and responsible business practices .

Transformative Education & Student Engagement
We will promote responsible management education , including business ethics , and reflect principles in course and program learning outcomes , as well as assurance of learning processes .
PRME Future Plans
> Continue to explicitly embed PRME and SDG themes into all undergraduate and graduate courses , as well as graduate research education , building on our initial experience with the BCom , MCom and MBA . All major programs will have the SDGs embedded in core courses by 2022 .
> Tagging , meta-data and AI approaches to automating our understanding of SDGs in our curricula ( a proof of concept is currently underway in the School of Information Systems & Technology Management ).
> Accelerating access and participation for under-represented student cohorts :
• > 40 % female domestic students by 2025 in under-represented UG programs ( economics , information systems , banking and finance and actuarial studies )
• Further develop women in leadership programs through the AGSM
• For Business , 13 % low SES UG students by 2025 , from 11 % in 2021
• For Business , 1 % Indigenous UG / PG students by 2025 from 0.6 % in 2021
> Continued close collaboration with Student Clubs and Societies , and practical support for their social purpose initiatives in the communities they serve ( e . g ., SDG Power Hour for Student Clubs and Societies presidents and co-presidents ).
Research & Enterprise
We adopt responsible research principles to make a difference in our understanding and practice of business , including sustainable business .
> Continue to invest in research that enhances understanding and awareness of social , economic and sustainability issues .
> Continue to strengthen research partnerships and collaborations .
> Identify and leverage opportunities to contribute to SDGs related to the biosphere . We need to develop leaders to solve our most complex problems with new skills and knowledge .
