MBA Responsible Management Curriculum
In 2020 , the AGSM graduate school successfully piloted a whole of program , whole of school approach to embed responsible management into the MBA curriculum . The AGSM responsible management curriculum , summarised in Figure 5 , provides students with rigorous training in sustainability and ethics throughout their degree , aligned to the PRME principles and the UN SDGs .

Pre MBA :
Responsible Management Foundations ( RMF )
Student must complete this pre – MBA , self – paced online component prior to census date in their first term .
Key foundation concepts are introduced through short videos , interviews and activities to engage students in decision – making and self – reflection .
Quiz with 100 % result required to continue enrolment .
During MBA :
Responsible Management in Context ( RMC )
Student must complete the RMC content included in Unit 1 / Week 1 of their core courses .
Key foundation concepts are introduced through short videos , interviews and activities to engage students in decision – making and self – reflection .
Content will be discussed and assessed in each core course .
Post MBA :
Fellowship of Responsible Management ( FRM )
Student attends seminar series each term and completes learning reflection . Submits their completed learning journal and successfully completes a Viva in front of a panel of esteemed leaders .
Student is awarded an AGSM Fellowship of Responsible Management and the postnominal FRM , with a digital badge and lifelong access to AGSM seminars .
Students are required to complete a pre-MBA module in responsible management , equipping them with foundational knowledge in ethics , responsibility , sustainability and the SDGs . This is followed by a module at the start of all core courses briefing students on the material issues in that area , the relevant SDGs , interviews with executives , examples of best practice and reflective activities . Students can then apply for the Fellowship of Responsible Management on completion of their degree , subject to successful completion of a responsible management portfolio .
The responsible management curriculum was introduced in the full-time MBA in 2021 with an overwhelmingly positive response from students . It will be introduced into part-time MBA programs in 2022 and will become a requirement for all MBA students at the Business School .
