Student Resources on Modern Slavery Prevention
In Term 3 2020 , the University ’ s WIL team led a group placement for 21 work integrated learning students to develop student-focused education artefacts and resources on how to recognise and prevent modern slavery . The outputs have been published on the
WIL @ UNSW website and made accessible to all UNSW students . This WIL experience coincided with the release of the new UNSW
Modern Slavery Prevention Policy , which establishes the principles the University commits to implement with regard to managing its operations and supply chains to minimise the risks of modern slavery .
3.3 Educational Environments
Centre for Social Impact – CSI
UNSW Business School is home to the multi-university Centre for Social Impact (
CSI ), which aims to catalyse positive social change in a way that enables others to achieve social impact . It achieves this through transformational education and research ( see Section 4.2 ) that is rigorous and purpose-driven .
When CSI opened its doors in 2008 , it founded its first education program with the
Graduate Certificate in Social Impact . Shortly after , its first undergraduate course , COMM1000 : Creating Social Change : From Innovation to Impact began . In recent years , CSI ’ s education offering has grown and improved to suit the changing nature of society and student needs . CSI offers the largest array of social impact specialisations of any university in Australia , with a particular focus on the pre- and post-experience postgraduate student .
