Research Project
Challenge
The project addresses the systemic failure of our education system to engage genuinely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. It delivers transformative and sustained impact by supporting partner schools to focus on classroom changes, leading to broader changes across schooling practices and policies.
Solution
The project is an ongoing practiceresearch study that investigates the challenges faced by schools and teachers, identifies initiatives that work, and considers the key elements of an adaptable and sustainable model to reform educational practices and support positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The project team shares key research outcomes and insights with educational networks for systemic reform throughout Australia.
