Fronted by award-winning CNN and Vice News journalist Isobel Yeung , the film reveals , through exclusive undercover footage shot by the workers themselves , the grim reality of creating Mattel product , where pay and conditions in the factory are a far cry from the glamour of Hollywood . It also explores Mattel ’ s aggressive , highly litigious legal practices , from battling emotive negligence cases to questionable brand protection policies .
